Interplanetary Shock (or CME Arrival)
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Location: STEREO A
Event Time: 2024-07-31T19:00Z ( STEREO A: IMPACT )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
STEREO A: IMPACT
STEREO A: PLASTIC
Activity ID: 2024-07-31T19:00:00-IPS-001 (version 1)
Quality of ICME Signature: -1 (unspecified)
Note: Characterized by an amplification of magnetic field components with Btotal increasing from about 10nT at 2024-07-31T19:00Z to ~20nT around 20:00Z. Solar wind speed and density parameters also appear to increase at this time, but the data is sparse. Solar wind parameters were enhanced prior to this arrival signature due to the previous arrival signature starting 2024-07-31T01:05Z. This signature may be related to the arrival of CMEs: 2024-07-29T02:00Z, 2024-07-29T02:12Z, and/or 2024-07-29T13:25Z.
